Easily turn off the iPhone 13 flashlight with these methods
How Turn Off Light on iPhone 13
The iPhone 13 features a built-in LED flashlight that can come in handy for various purposes. It can be turned on and off using four different methods: the lock screen, Control Center, Siri, or by adding a Shortcut in the Shortcuts app.
To turn it off on the lock screen, just tap the flashlight icon on the lower left corner until you feel a haptic vibration. Alternatively, you can also use Hey Siri to shut it off.
Control Center
If you find using your iPhone’s camera flash to be inconvenient, you can easily disable it by enabling Control Center. You can access this by either swiping up from the bottom (for iPhone 8 and older) or the top right corner of the screen (for iPhone X and later).
This will give you a host of shortcuts to system functions, including a flashlight button that will turn off your iPhone’s LED light. You can also add this to your Lock screen for added convenience.
If you don’t see the flashlight in your Control Center, you can add it by going to Settings and then tapping “More Controls.” You will need to enable one of the ways for activating Siri in order to use this method. You can enable Hey Siri, Press Side Button for Siri, or Listen to Voice for Hey Siri. You can then set up a Shortcut that will run when you double-tap or triple-tap the Back Tap icon to toggle the flashlight on and off.
Lock Screen
There are a few ways you can turn off your iPhone 13 flashlight from the lock screen. The first way is to use the Raise to Wake or Tap to Wake feature. This will bring up your lock screen with the flashlight icon on it. You can then tap the icon to turn it off.
The other way is to use the Control Center on your iPhone. You can swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open it, or you can also press the Home button to do so.
You can then press the flashlight icon on the lock screen to switch it off. This can be very helpful if you don’t want to unlock your phone to do it. You can also say “Hey Siri” to turn off the flashlight, or you can add a shortcut using iOS Shortcuts. Using these methods will reduce the chances of accidentally turning off your flashlight.
Siri
A flashlight on an iPhone 13 is great in some situations, but it can be annoying to keep turning it on and off. This is why it’s important to know how to turn it off using your lock screen, Control Center, or Siri.
To turn off the flashlight via your lock screen, simply raise your iPhone or tap on its display (it doesn’t need to be unlocked). Then, long press the flashlight icon in the bottom left corner until you feel a haptic vibration.
You can also use Hey Siri to turn off the flashlight. To do this, wake up Siri by pressing the Home button or saying “Hey Siri”.
Another great option is to set Back Tap to turn off the flashlight automatically. To do this, open the Settings app and then go to the Accessibility section. From there, select Back Tap. In the Back Tap configuration page, select Double Tap or Triple Tap as your preference.
Shortcuts
There are many iPhone tips and tricks that can help you make your phone more functional and easy to use. One of these is a shortcut that can easily turn off your flashlight. This method is convenient if you don’t want to open the Control Center or Siri and can save your battery power.
To create a flashlight shortcut, you need to install and launch the Shortcuts app on your device. Once you’re in the app, you can tap “+” to create a new shortcut. You can name the shortcut and choose an icon before hitting the “Add” button.
This will create a new shortcut that will allow you to easily turn off the flashlight with just a tap. You can then add this shortcut to the Home screen or Dock if you want. You can even adjust the brightness of the shortcut. The flashlight can be turned on and off using this shortcut, even when your iPhone is locked or in a case.
